    “Educating our children to reach their full potential to become productive citizens in whatever career path they choose is a top priority of mine.  I believe that an educated society remains free.  I look forward to working with the other trustees to build an educational environment that will inspire all students to reach their potential.”

    I opened my CPA office shortly after moving to Bastrop in 1995.  At the end of June 2023, I closed my Bastrop office and currently work from home.  I am phasing into retirement.

    I graduated from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  I taught high school biology and math; and maintain a current teaching certificate. I also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting, from Texas State University.

    I have volunteered with 1) BISD-SHAC, mentor, science fair judge, 2) the Family Crisis Center, 3) Board member of the Bastrop Character Education organization, 4) the Bastrop Animal Shelter and the Boys & Girls Club; and 5) my church.

    I am grateful for the opportunity to help further advance the quality of education in the Bastrop school district.

    President Ronald Reagan once said ‘Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.  We didn’t pass it along to our children in our bloodstream.  It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.’
