The Gifted and Talented referral window is open from October 21-November 22. A parent meeting will be held on November 7 beginning at 6 pm at the Bastrop ISD Service Center located at 906 Farm Street, Bastrop.

WHAT IS GT? 

A Gifted and Talented student is a child or youth who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment. 

WHO CAN REFER A STUDENT?

Parents, family members, community members and BISD teachers and staff may refer a student for G/T services.

HOW DO I REFER A STUDENT?

Please contact your child's teacher to refer a student. Families will receive permission slips from the campus counselor to be returned on or before November 22.

WHEN WILL MY STUDENT BE SCREENED?

Screening will take place January 2025.
