Welcome to Science at Genesis High School!
My name is Deborah Zoda and I am the Science teacher here at Genesis High School. I was raised in a Navy family and have lived all over the US and even lived in England for 3 years during my elementary years. My Dad retired where he met my Mom in Beeville, Texas. They met while he was doing his flight training at NAS Chase field. Beeville is where I attended High School. I went to college in San Marcos at Southwest Texas State University and graduated with a degree in Agriculture Education.
My certifications include Vocational Agriculture Production and Secondary Life-Earth Science. After teaching middle school for 2 years in San Antonio I moved to Bastrop and taught middle school for another 20 years. I retired in 2018 from Cedar Creek Middle School but was called back to teaching here at Genesis. I love helping our students be all that they can be as they work towards graduation.
