Youth Career Day: Hiring Day will be on March 27, 2024 from 9am-12pm. It will be held at Bastrop's 26,000 square foot Convention Center located at 1408 Chestnut St. This event will bring the Bastrop business and education communities together to share the incredible opportunities available to young people in Bastrop.
In 2023 BISD brought nearly 400 high school juniors and seniors and more than 60 business partners together in this event. This is much more than just a hiring event or career fair. This day will include opportunities for students to find seasonal, part-time, and full-time jobs; it will also allow students to learn about possible careers to pursue after post-secondary education/certification, and to develop career skills that prepare them for entering the workforce.
BISD is grateful for the support of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, and Workforce Solutions:Rural Capital Area through the Jobs Y'All program.
