  • The Digital Learning and Library Services Department works to build a culture of innovation, creativity, and lifelong learning throughout the district. We believe that every student deserves the chance to explore their passions and dream big. Our team focuses on the following goals:

    Digital Learning

    • Inspiring STEAM: We create engaging learning opportunities that help students get excited about science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). Through hands-on projects, innovative tools, and inspiring events, we encourage students to think critically and solve real-world problems.

    • Empowering Educators: We provide teachers and staff with the training and support they need to design and implement high-impact lessons. Our goal is to equip educators with the skills to use technology effectively and create dynamic learning environments for all students.

    • Ensuring Access for All: We support the district’s technology initiatives to make sure every student has the tools and resources they need to succeed. We are committed to closing the digital divide and ensuring access to technology for our entire school community.

    Library Services

    • Enhancing Literacy: We enhance literacy across the district through high-quality library programming, including engaging book fairs, dynamic reading initiatives, and special events and activities that get students excited about reading.

    • Reimagining Library Spaces: We are transforming our libraries into hubs of innovation. By developing makerspaces, offering robotics clubs, and hosting coding activities, we are creating environments where students can design, create, and invent together.

    • Foundational Technology Skills: We support instruction in K-5 elementary computer labs, focusing on the K-5 Technology Applications Standards (TEKS). We ensure students build foundational knowledge in computer literacy, applications, coding, and more, preparing them for a technology-rich future.
