STARS (Students Together Achieving Remarkable Success) is licensed by the Texas Department of Health & Human Services and is staffed by Bastrop ISD employees available at seven elementary campuses. STARS staff provide homework assistance, recreation, and fitness, as well as engaging enrichment activities for ages 4-13 year olds. In some cases, parents have the option to have their intermediate or middle school student be transported to an elementary campus to participate in the STARS program.
STARS is open from the first day of school to the last day of school, Monday through Friday, until 6:00 pm. The program is also available during most holidays. If a minimum number of 20 students enroll for the winter and spring breaks, STARS will be open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm for an additional fee. Notices will be posted for these and other special events, but all registration will take place online.
Monthly Rate: $250/month
Note: If you qualify for the free and reduced price meal program, you may also qualify for supplemental childcare from the Texas Workforce Commission. For more information about these benefits, call (512) 303-9164.
