What is Bastrop Ready?

  • Bastrop Ready is a community partnership designed to ensure bastrop ready logoschool readiness for ALL students. Research proves the first five years of a child’s life are critical for positive  development. Bastrop Ready aims to partner with community members and childcare providers who interact with children during these critical learning years to ensure all students enter school ready to learn.

Modeled after a successful initiative in Round Rock ISD, Bastrop Ready seeks to build  on and expand partnerships between school districts, community organizations and local childcare facilities. Through these partnerships, childcare providers (licensed child care facilities and registered in-home daycares) receive free specialized professional development opportunities in many content areas such as early literacy, early numeracy, social-emotional learning, play and language development, and differentiation.
