About Me

  • Hello!! My name is Jackie Heger, and I'm very excited to continue as the gifted and talented support teacher at Cedar Creek Elementary. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015 (Go Mavs!) and became a certified EC-6 teacher through the iTeach Texas Alternative Certification Program. I am also certified in ESL instruction. I joined CCE in 2017 and I am happy to be part of an incredible school community, where we are all proud to be EAGLES! I've also previously taught 3rd and 4th grade at CCE. I am originally from Columbus, a small town about 45 minutes east of Bastrop, where my family lives. I currently reside in Bastrop. When I am not in a classroom, empowering our students, I am in my kitchen baking up a storm! I also love spending time with my family and friends, reading, crafting and traveling.

I am here to provide for the needs of gifted children and their parents. I am here as an advocate for you and your children. Within the GT program, students are given a TPSP project that will be worked on throughout the semester. Along with their project, we will also be engaging in STEM-based learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). If you have a concern about your child's performance, please be in touch. I am excited about teaching your child this year and look forward to getting to know your family.

The best way to reach me is by contacting the school, my email or through School Status.
