Hello! My name is Maria Sanchez. I am the Art Teacher at Cedar Creek Elementary School. What I love about CCE is the community between the staff and students. Building relationships is very valuable to me. What I hope for students to attain from my classroom is a deeper understanding of who they are, their identity, and an increased confidence in knowing how to love themselves. Art is the catalyst for self-expression that allows students to be who they are. 

I graduated Summa cum Laude from Texas State University where I attained my BFA in Studio Art (All-Level T-Cert) and dedicated my time to gaining leadership and teaching experience through volunteer teaching and working as a Resident Assistant. 

I love sharing my knowledge of all things art-related and displaying the amazing things these wonderful students can create!
